Here are some images of what I consider to be some of my best work in life drawing. By using this particular style, I'm beginning to care less about detail as I do little sketches within 1 minute. As you will notice, my drawing style will change dramatically as we move on to other styles and techniques.
This image shows all outlines and some detail as the model changes poses. I mainly use lines and oval shapes to get the human body slightly more accurate.
These images are examples of the 5 line technique. I was supposed to draw all the proportions of the model by only drawing 5 lines. As you can see, I started getting more elaborate with the lines as we moved on to the next pose.
In some of these images, you will notice the lines have been marked with numbers to indicate how many lines I used. You will supposed to use no more than 5 lines or less if you could but I wanted to make sure that I did not use too many so I numbered them to remind myself.
For this image, we has to use arrows to mark all components and joints of the human body figure. Once again, in a limited amount of time, we drew these type of sketches based on the model but at the same time attempting to show 16 components (or so we were told that there were 16) through out the sketch.
To me, life drawing is very interesting but a lot different than I thought it would be. All this time, when it came to drawing, I was always concerned with detail but as you learn to draw quicker sketches, you tend to worry less about such a thing as it doesn't matter. Should start drawing people around me more often.
